Description

In this 3-week class, discover what is possible in the breadth and depth of collaging paper.

We will create with the use of vintage and hand-crafted paper and discover other non-traditional paper materials never considered for collage. We will pursue the craft of composition and train our eye to see the values of shape and space, line and texture and color and push the creative process to finally thinking outside the ‘box’. We will look at the ways in which paper is adhered to a surface and then the thrill of deconstruction, and finally discover what is possible with this magical and profound art form.

Glue stick
Scissors
X-acto knife
Straight edge
David will bring his collection of paper scraps, as well as everything else you will need.
Feel free to bring any additional supplies.
