We will take a contemplative look at the nature of trees and how we relate to them. Through the practice of observation and varying techniques, we will deepen our understanding of nature, ourselves, and our place within it.
NOTE: This is a 2x/week class to be held Tuesday AND Friday afternoons for 2 weeks (total of 4 classes) LOCATION: SWEETWATER WETLANDS
Supplies are not included:
Recommended: Medium size sketchbook (recommended spiral bound in a size you can hold in your lap) • Assorted graphite pencils, ie: 2B to 6B • Kneaded eraser • Micron pen(s) or any ink pen • Optional: Other mediums with which you like to work such as charcoal or watercolor or color pencil • Larger drawing pad (for homework) • Vine charcoal • Blending stumps • Other things you may need: • Bag in which to carry supplies • Chair or stool • Shade hat • Sunscreen • Drinking water • Snacks • Blanket or jacket (it can get quite cool, especially while sitting still)
