Description

Watercolor techniques (washes, glazes, bleeds, negative space), brushes, and color theory, used for simple landscapes and still life compositions, and other illustrative purposes.

Editor's note: Class time is 9-12 pm, the printed & PDF catalog lists 1-4 pm

Basic drawing skills or Drawing Fundamentals are highly recommended.

Special Instructions

Pthalo blue, Quin rose, Azo yellow watercolors,
22” x 30” sheet of 300lb watercolor paper (Archer, Fabriano, or Canson recommended) cut into quarter sheets (Arizona Art Supply sells these sheets for $10), inexpensive pad of watercolor paper 9”x12” or 11”x15” (Bee, Canson Montval, etc)
Brushes (Princeton Snap! are affordable and good quality, 1” Flat, ½” Angled Flat, A Medium Round (#4-#8), A Small Round (#2/0-#2)),
personal sketchbook
bucket or cups for water
paper towels
